Handyman Pricing in Austin, TX
Every price below is a flat rate. You get a firm number before I start, and that is what you pay whether the job takes thirty minutes or three hours. No hourly clock, no surprise add-ons.

Minimum visit is $175. That covers any job up to 30 minutes of work. If your whole list is one picture frame, the visit still costs $175 - so it is worth saving up a few tasks for one trip.

Straight talk: I am a licensed, insured, veteran-owned one-man operation and every job carries a 1-year labor warranty. I am not the cheapest option in Austin and I am not trying to be. If your budget is under $175, a gig-app handyman will serve you better than I will, and I would rather tell you that now than waste your afternoon.

WHAT I DO NOT DO
I refer these out rather than do them badly: new electrical circuits, new outlet locations, panel work, water heaters, re-piping, drain and gas lines, roofing, structural work, rekeying and locksmith work, cribs and bunk beds, and anything requiring a permit.

BOOKING, DEPOSITS & CANCELLATIONS
Jobs under $500: no deposit and no card on file. You pay when the work is done.
Jobs quoted at $500 or more: 30% deposit at booking.
Special-order or custom materials are paid up front and are non-refundable once ordered.
Cancel or reschedule with at least 24 hours notice. Inside 24 hours, or if nobody is home when I arrive, there is a $75 fee. Any deposit paid is credited against it.

SALES TAX
Labor on residential property is not taxed in Texas, so there is no tax line on your invoice. Commercial, hotel and short-term-rental jobs are taxed at 8.25%. Furniture and equipment assembly is quoted tax-inclusive.

Prices effective July 30, 2026. Quotes are good for 30 days. If conditions on site are materially different from what was described, I will tell you before I start, not after.
